  • You could not ask for a more indulgent stay. Everything has been thought about and supplied - from the exquisite bedding down to the generous welcome drinks and ready stacked fireplace that awaits you. It is a true escape. The privacy is absolute and the views are magnificent. We loved the little animals that came to visit each day. Our host was warm and attentive and preempted our questions before we needed to ask.

  • Fynbosrust is an extraordinary luxury self-catering house with 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. It's like a home far away from home - fully equipped with all you need and very comfy beds. The views from the deck and the house itself with huge glass fronts are phantastic. This place is for those, who wants to relax and having a peaceful break from hectic life or just want to spend some days with family or friends. Only 2 km away - so walking distance - is the Gin distillery Monks, making also lovely cocktails. We can highly recommend a stay at Fynbosrust!!

    in case you only have a small sedan car the way to Fynbosrust is a bit tricky, but for higher clearance cars it is no problem.

  • Exceptional location with plenty of space and peace, fantastic vegetation, good beds, great bathrooms with high-quality products and a very warm welcome even though we had booked the house 2 hours before arrival. We were very happy to experience this nature there.

  • The house was extremely well presented, and beautifully furnished. The beds were comfortable and the bed linen and towels of a very high quality. Constant hot water and a big gas stove. The peace and quiet was breath taking, the mountain views were stunning. Carin was extremely helpful and informative.

Luxury off the beaten track

  • the cabin allows for a quiet, peaceful getaway but with all the comforts you may need for a 'home away from home' experience. The beds were exceptionally comfy and the electric blankets and indoor fireplace on a cold night were great, the kitchen is fully equipped and the friendly assistance and attention to detail from the host was a brilliant. The accommodation is centrally located with lots to explore in the area, just sad the weather was too rainy for us to make use of the hot tub. Would highly recommend Fynbosrust, would love to visit again and stay longer. Just a side note - the road to the cabin is of good quality even in rainy weather, but since it's quite a bumpy terrain in certain parts (rockface & gravel) a higher rise vehicle would be best.
